Porto Corsa Rip Clutchgoneski Cars 2 die-cast Mattel Collection Exhibition
Die-cast exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum showcasing the history of its diecast collection from Disney Pixar Cars called "From Silver Screen to Die-cast". After parking its Hot Wheels cars at "Petersen Automotive Museum" for years, toymaker Mattel has teamed with Disney and Pixar to create a new display at this museum about the "Cars" franchise. Mattel the #1 toy maker has produced more than 250 million die-cast "Cars" "Cars 2" and "Cars Toon" featuring more than 500 unique, rare and never-before-seen designs representing many of the beloved characters from the film Cars.
The "Cars 2" die-casts are 1/55 scale, larger than most diecast cars, which are 1/46 in scale, to more accurately capture the facial expressions, personality and character details, and smaller than 1:43 scale from Disneystore.
They have many of the released Mattel die-casts from Cars, Cars Toon and Cars 2 including Rip Clutchgoneski, Leland Turbo, Mater disguised as Ivan Mater, convoy brothers, R.V., clown cars, Kimura Kaizo, Derek decals dobbs, Syd VanderKamper, Trev Diesel, John Lassetire red pick-up truck, Albert Hinkey, Lizzie, Stanley, Bessie, Janne Flash Nilsson, Fernando Alonso, Mark Frosty Winterbottom, Vitaly Petrov, Memo Rojas Jr, just to name a few.
The World Grand Prix Racers appeared in Cars 2. The racers are chosen by Miles Axlerod to promote his new wonder-fuel Allinol. The competition unites the best athletes of all race types from all over the world to determine the world's fastest car. Though there are 12 spots in each race, there is actually an odd number of 11 racers.

Unlike for the other racers, the paint job of Lightning McQueen, Lewis Hamilton and Nigel Gearsley are not colored after their respective country's flag. However, Gearsley bears the British racing green. McQueen and Hamilton bear their personal colors. It can also be noted that the main color of Max Schnell and Jeff Gorvette, respectively purple and yellow, is not a color of their country flag, which is included in their design however. Some racers bear their racing league logo. Lightning McQueen is for the Piston Cup, Francesco Bernoulli for Formula Racer, Raoul ÇaRoule for the GRC, and Max Schnell for the WtcL. It can be noted that all are allusions to real racing leagues. Suprisingly, Rip Clutchgoneski is the only racer who is not seen with a pit crew chief.
In Cars 2 Lightning McQueen is racing in the first ever World Grand Prix to determine who's the world's fastest car. Number 95 Lightning McQueen is still a hotshot racecar, but his rookie days are past him. Now a permanent resident of Radiator Springs, Lightning has become winner of four Piston Cups. With a fresh custom paint job and real, working headlights, Lightning McQueen sets off to Japan, Italy and England with Mater in tow for the adventure of a lifetime. His racing number, "95" is a reference to the year 1995, when Pixar's first feature-length film, Toy Story was released. Originally, his number was going to be 57, which is the year John Lasseter was born. Lightning Relampago Mcqueen have been released in Cars, Cars Toons and Cars 2 Diecast series. He's best friends with Mater.
