Racer #43 The King is a champion race car. In the Piston Cup Final he tied for first place with Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks so a tie-breaking race was scheduled. He races for the team Dinoco. The King attempts to offer McQueen a dime's worth of free advice, saying it is the crew, not the racer, that wins races, but Lightning was too distracted to pay attention. After Hicks rammed The King, causing him to crash, McQueen has a moment of conscience and is fearful Weathers will be doomed to the same fate as Doc Hudson; thus McQueen forfeits his victory to aid Weathers. "The King" Strip Weathers, has seen it all. From his humble beginnings on the Piston Cup circuit, to the glitzy sponsorship and media attention he has today, this seven time Piston Cup Champion is the winningest racecar in all of Piston Cup history. After a spectacular crash, The King looked pretty beat up! He's looking forward to more time with his queen, Mrs. The King. He does not make an appearance in Cars 2. Hopefully we'll see him in Cars 3.

Disney Pixar Cars begins with the last race of the Piston Cup championship, which ends in a three-way tie between retiring veteran Strip "The King" Weathers, perennial runner-up Chick Hicks, and rookie Lightning McQueen. The tiebreaker race is scheduled for one week later at the Los Angeles International Speedway. Lightning is desperate to win the race, since it would allow him to leave the unglamorous sponsorship of Rust-Eze, a rust treatment for old cars, and allow him to take The King's place as the sponsored car of the lucrative Dinoco team. Eager to start practice in California as soon as possible, Lightning pushes his big rig, Mack, to travel all night long. While McQueen is sleeping, the exhausted Mack drifts off and is startled by a gang of reckless street racers, causing McQueen to fall out the back of the truck into the road. McQueen wakes in the middle of traffic, and speeds off the highway to find Mack, ending up in Radiator Springs and ruining the pavement of its main road.

After being arrested and impounded overnight, McQueen is ordered by the town's judge and doctor, Doc Hudson, to leave town immediately. The local lawyer, Sally Carrera, insists that McQueen be given community service to repave the road, to which Doc begrudingly agrees. McQueen tries to repave it in a single day, but it turns out to be shoddy and McQueen is ordered to repave the road again, which takes several days to complete. During this time, he becomes friends with several of the cars, and learns that Radiator Springs used to be a popular stopover along U.S. Route 66, but with the construction of Interstate 40 bypassing the town, it was effectively taken off the map. McQueen also discovers that Doc is really the "Fabulous Hudson Hornet", a three-time Piston Cup winner who was forced out of racing after an accident and quickly forgotten by the sport. McQueen finishes the road, which has invigorated the cars to improve their town, and spends an extra day in town with his new friends, before Mack and the media descend on the town, led by a tip to McQueen's location. McQueen reluctantly leaves with the media to get to California in time for the race.

He is surprised to discover that Doc Hudson, decked out in his old racing colors, has taken over as his crew chief, along with several other friends from Radiator Springs to help in the pit. Inspired and recalling tricks he learned from Doc and his friends, McQueen quickly emerges to lead the race into the final laps. Hicks, refusing to lose, sends Weathers into a dangerous accident. Seeing this and recalling Doc's fate, McQueen stops just short of the finish line, allowing Hicks to win, and drives back to push Weathers over the finish line. The crowd and media condemn Hicks' victory and give praise to McQueen's sportsmanship. Though offered the Dinoco sponsorship deal, McQueen declines, insisting on staying with his current sponsors as an appreciation of their past support.

Rip Clutchgoneski NEW DIECAST Disney Store Exclusive in Collector's Display Case 1:43 scale

This is a Disney store exclusive diecast 1:43 scale, measuring 4 ½ inches long, and bears the colors of his flag orange, green and red. Comes inside this collector's clear display case, but can be removed and played with. Just so you know, 1:43 scale from Disney store are much bigger than the regular 1:55 scale from Mattel. Available right now at your local Disney store for $6.50. Or buy two cars for $6 each. Do not overpay at eBay or Amazon. He is the same size and has the same facial expression as the 20-pack cars set from Disney.

This #10 open-wheeled racer Rip Clutchgoneski comes from the fictional European colony Republic of New Rearendia. After putting together a remarkable string of qualifying races, Rip entry into the World Grand Prix is clearly the Cinderella story of the competition. Rip Clutchgoneski participated in all three World Grand Prix races, as well as in the Radiator Springs Grand Prix. Because of his modest origin from an unknown country and of his lack of titles, Rip was the least popular racer and could be considered the rookie of the competition. Despite him being a rookie in the competition, Rip is actually pretty fast; he was in fifth place in the first part of Tokyo, and the second part, he was in third until he was hit by the pulse generator. In Italy, he was in 10th place, behind Jeff Gorvette and Lewis Hamilton. Then, he passed them, along with Raoul Caroule. Then after Shu Todoroki collided with Miguel Camino and Max Schnell, He was in 9th place. In London, he was close to the last position. Despite that, he was between 4th and 7th place in the one in Radiator Springs. He can make from 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds. But he's the only racer in The World Grand Prix that doesn't have a crew chief, just a pit crew consisting of several pitties.

The World Grand Prix Racers appeared in Cars 2. The racers are chosen by Miles Axlerod to promote his new wonder-fuel Allinol. The competition unites the best athletes of all race types from all over the world to determine the world's fastest car. Though there are 12 spots in each race, there is actually an odd number of 11 racers. Unlike for the other racers, the paint job of Lightning McQueen, Lewis Hamilton and Nigel Gearsley are not colored after their respective country's flag. However, Gearsley bears the British racing green. McQueen and Hamilton bear their personal colors. It can also be noted that the main color of Max Schnell and Jeff Gorvette, respectively purple and yellow, is not a color of their country flag, which is included in their design however. Some racers bear their racing league logo. Lightning McQueen is for the Piston Cup, Francesco Bernoulli for Formula Racer, Raoul ÇaRoule for the GRC, and Max Schnell for the WtcL. It can be noted that all are allusions to real racing leagues.

As a handsome forest green 1963 Jaguar Coombs Lightweight E-Type, David Hobbscap, originally from Royal Leamington Spa, England, is a worldwide racing luminary. His 30-year career in professional racing spans the globe and all types of motorsports. Now David shares that priceless knowledge as an announcer, where he's also well known for providing comic relief during race broadcasts. A former champion with 20 starts at 24 Hours of Le Mans, his storytelling comes from personal experience. You can see David in the Cars 2 film reporting in the World Grand Prix race with Darrell Cartrip and Brent Mustangburger.

He looks different from the exclusive Disney Store Drag Star Mater diecast 1:43 scale. Spoiler, exhaust pipes and engine are plastic. He also has different facial expression and much bigger wheels in the rear. Actually twice as big as the front wheels making him a great dragster racer! FYI the one from Disney Store is called Drag Star Mater and measures 4 ½ inches, and the one from Mattel is called funny car Mater and measures 3 ¾ inches.

In the now popular tourist destination of Radiator Springs, the rusty old tow truck Mater has a number of roles, including proprietor of Tow Mater Towing and Salvage, grand storyteller and the heart and soul of the town. But Mater's favorite title is best friend to Lightning McQueen. Mater values each and every dent he's earned on his escapades with Lightning over the years, and anxiously awaits further fun with his friend when Lightning returns with his latest Piston Cup.
Cheerful, honest and loyal to a fault, Mater rushes to his best friend's defense, which ultimately lands the off-duty Lightning in an international racing exhibition: the World Grand Prix. When Lightning invites Mater to come along as a member of his pit crew, Mater leaves Carburetor County for the first time ever. Not long after their arrival in Tokyo, Mater learns that the world outside of Radiator Springs is different. But when he's mistaken for an American secret spy agent, he falls into an intriguing adventure of his own. Caught between supporting his best friend on a globe-trotting racing competition and his new role in international espionage, Mater ends up in an explosive chase through the streets of Tokyo and Europe alongside a team of British spies and international bad guys. Since Mater plays a role in a spy affair, he is added several gadgets, however not as spectacular as those of Finn McMissile or Holley Shiftwell. Since Mater is not familiar with his gadgets, they are activated by voice commands. One of them is called Deployable holographic disguise emitter. The device instantaneously makes a disguise all around Mater, such as Ivan Mater, Kabuki Mater, Drag Star Mater, Dracula Mater, Materhosen and Taco Truck Mater.
