He's a British spy car who mistakes Mater for an American spy and recruits him in the mission to solve the conspiracy to sabotage the World Grand Prix. Finn McMissile and his assistant, Holley Shiftwell, mistake Mater for an American spy (Rod "Torque" Redline) and the group agrees to meet the next day at the first race of the World Grand Prix in Tokyo. McMissile rescues Mater from Professor Z agents at the race and later at the Tokyo airport disguised as Japanese security guard and asks him to them. Finn McMissile is equipped with more gadgets than any other 007 spies. His license plate is 314 FMCM, which is the voice actor Michael Caine's birthday (March 14).
Holley is a beautiful young British desk agent turned spy-in-training who is stationed in Tokyo. Well-educated and sharp, she knows every trick in the book. She is armed with all of the latest state-of-the-art spy equipment imaginable, from hidden cameras and concealed weapons to a telescoping utility arm and a holographic pop-up display. Holley is a highly motivated agent, but is fresh out of the academy, so her experience is based on lessons learned in school rather than real-life situations. Her license plate is HS1201, which is the voice actor's birthday Emily Mortimer (December 1st).
In Cars 2 Lightning McQueen is racing in the first ever World Grand Prix to determine who's the world's fastest car. Number 95 Lightning McQueen is still a hotshot racecar, but his rookie days are past him. Now a permanent resident of Radiator Springs, Lightning has become a bona fide worldwide celebrity as winner of four Piston Cups. After his latest win, Lightning McQueen returns home to enjoy life in the slow lane for a while with sweetheart Sally, best friend Mater and the rest of his Radiator Springs family. With a fresh custom paint job and real, working headlights, Lightning McQueen sets off to Japan, Italy and England with Mater in tow for the adventure of a lifetime. His racing number, "95" is a reference to the year 1995, when Pixar's first feature-length film, Toy Story was released. Originally, his number was going to be 57, which is the year John Lasseter was born. Lightning Relampago Mcqueen have been released in Cars, Cars Toons and Cars 2 diecast series. He's best friends with Mater and in love with Sally.
The World Grand Prix Racers appeared in Cars 2. The racers are chosen by Miles Axlerod to promote his new wonder-fuel Allinol. The competition unites the best athletes of all race types from all over the world to determine the world's fastest car. Though there are 12 spots in each race, there is actually an odd number of 11 racers.
Unlike for the other racers, the paint job of Lightning McQueen, Lewis Hamilton and Nigel Gearsley are not colored after their respective country's flag. However, Gearsley bears the British racing green. McQueen and Hamilton bear their personal colors. It can also be noted that the main color of Max Schnell and Jeff Gorvette, respectively purple and yellow, is not a color of their country flag, which is included in their design however. Some racers bear their racing league logo. Lightning McQueen is for the Piston Cup, Francesco Bernoulli for Formula Racer, Raoul ÇaRoule for the GRC, and Max Schnell for the WtcL. It can be noted that all are allusions to real racing leagues. Suprisingly, Rip Clutchgoneski is the only racer who is not seen with a pit crew chief.
